Make the gift of a lifetime
Leave a legacy or bequest in your will to Variety the children’s charity and Tasmania’s special children and you will truly be making the “Gift of a lifetime”.
Your generosity will provide a future for Tasmanian children in need.
A bequest is a gift and can be either named or anonymous. It is an instruction contained within a Will and specifically reserves part of an estate for a particular beneficiary – hopefully Variety Tasmania.
A bequest can be made in many ways to reflect the person’s particular wishes. It can be defined personal assets such as property or possessions; shares or bonds’ a fixed sum of money or simply a percentage on an estate.
It is an opportunity to make a tangible and lasting gift which you may not be able to do in your lifetime and is one of the most personal ways that you can support our work. Not only will your gift make a real difference in the lives of Tasmanian children, but you can feel secure in the knowledge that your are helping our work continue long after your have gone.
This can be done in several ways;
-
Specific bequest; a gift of cash or an asset
-
Percentage Share; a percentage of the whole estate
-
Residual Bequest; how you want the remainder of your estate to be dealt with after other gifts have been given
-
Life Insurance; all or part of your insurance policy can be gifted to Variety the children’s charity in Tasmania
To make a bequest, you must first make a Will. A Will ensures that after death, a person’s wishes are protected and efficiently implemented. You can review and update your Will at any time. If you are unsure of how to go about making your Will, contact you solicitor or public trustee.
