Variety the Children's Charity provides more than $1,000,000 each month nationally enriching lives and inspiring hope for children in need.  Thousands more is needed to reach all the children who need help.

For example, did you know that every 18 hours a child is born with cerebral palsy and child mortality rates amongst indigenous kids are three times higher than their non-aboriginal schoolmates?

Technology has provided miracles for hearing, sight and speech impaired kids – but technology comes at a price – and often this is more than the average family or organisation can afford.

Government funding cannot even begin to provide everything that is needed - even to hospitals - so Variety's role is VITAL in getting urgently needed equipment which both saves and transforms lives of Australia’s children.

Variety the Children's Charity provides over $2.7 million annually to Australia’s children’s hospitals and neo-natal wards, which aids in the purchase of critical equipment such as humidi-cribs, ventilators and computer software.

Over 45,000 children and their families are directly assisted by Variety each year, through the Appeals Programs, Children’s Christmas parties and variety@work.

Thousands more kids travel on Sunshine Coaches every day and tens of thousands are treated in hospitals supported by Variety.

Variety places three Sunshine Coaches on the road per month nationally but receives requests for three times this number.

Regional and disadvantaged schools rely on Variety to provide their only computers and other vital learning and play equipment.

Variety receives thousands of requests each year for vocal output devices, cochlear implants, myo-electric limbs and other technologies. Many of these kids are still waiting for the chance to find a voice and communicate.

Everyone can experience the joy of helping a child in need.
