Variety the Children’s Charity has joined with Liberty Swings Australia to champion the installation of Liberty Swings Australia wide. The program has enjoyed resounding success in many municipalities all over the country with over 100 swings in total being championed by Variety the Children’s Charity.
The Liberty Swing allows children confined to a wheelchair and the elderly the opportunity to experience the sensation of having a swing in the park.
Variety the Children’s Charity Tasmania Tent 78 continues to make a significant difference by enriching lives and inspiring hope for Tasmania's children in need from 0 to 18 years of age.
The partnership with Liberty Swings Australia aims to ensure all children are able to experience the pleasure and thrill of a swing in the part. In the past children confined to a wheelchair had to sit by and watch their siblings and friends experience this.
Variety the Children's Charity Tasmania has financially assisted with the installation of Libery Swings at the Dru Point playground in Kingston, Hazelwood School and Tynwald park in New Norfolk.
It is Variety's aim to see a Liberty Swing in every municipality in Tasmania ensuring access for all Tasmanian children.
