Why do we have Tasbash?
Oasis Tasbash is staged by Variety Tasmania to raise funds to improve the quality of life of Tasmanian children in need. Since the Bash commenced in Tasmania in 1991, close to $3 million has been raised, making dreams come true for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in our State.
Where does the money go?
During the year, Variety allocates the funds raised to purchase equipment such as wheelchairs, computers, library and playground equipment, specialised seating, second skin applications, communication devices and specialist medical treatment. An Appeals Committee assesses each individual request for assistance. All monies raised in Tasmania stay in Tasmania.
What's the cost?
The Bash entry fee is $330 which includes GST and is not tax deductible. In addition, each entry pledges to raise a minimum of $3,700 for donation to Variety Tasmania. These funds are fully tax deductible. You will be responsible for paying for your meals, accommodation, fuel and vehicle maintenance for the duration of the Bash.
